Available for everyone to access “The Dell Woodland Walk” is situated to the rear and far side of the Garden Centre.

Originally the wood formed part of a large wooded area stretching across the west end of the Pevensey levels from Eastbourne to Hailsham then drifting up to Uckfield. This small area linked to the Dell pond formed a coppiced working wood supplying natural materials for local industry.

The wood has been developed over the last few years with the help of volunteer Brian. Currently, we have been working on the area introducing:

The Bluebell spring walk
Pinewood area
An open meadow area,
Butterfly and bee corner,
Downland strip,
New pond with viewing tree top bridge

In order to continue to plant up and conserve the New and Ancient Woodland area we are asking for donations for carrier bags. This will be used to support the maintenance, control and increased biodiversity of the woodland.
